Anthropologie Inspires
The visual merchandising folks at Anthropologie always surprise me. Every time I go there, I'm mesmerized by their windows and interior styling. I wish more stores were this creative with their displays - not necessarily spending a lot of money on them but rather crafting visual elements by hand using everyday and natural items to create art! Here are a few images of corners that stood out for me at my last visit to Anthro, including a fantastic wooly work of art above a bright sofa, and beautiful fish and geometric pattern paper cutouts.

Celebrate Earth Day
Noticed a lot of beach litter this week - and many crows and gulls feeding on food packaging (yep, inedible stuff). It breaks my heart. Sadly, many people cannot keep their own house clean, much less the environment outside their home. I've also been thinking a lot about this age of materialism and why we feel compelled to buy and buy all manner of things we don't need (that are manufactured in ways and quantities that hurt our environment and health). This includes food - does it all have to be about convenience? Can one eat and live simply and still be happy? Of course you can.
